University Park Country Club, Sarasota

The Golf Academy at University Park operates under the direction of Ashley Hayden and Head Teaching Professional Sue Ertl. Practice facilities available include a driving range and short game practice area with putting and chipping greens and sand bunkers. There is also a well provisioned Pro Shop providing products and services to members.
The eleven lighted Har-Tru tennis courts at the club include some of the highest rated courts in the area. Voted “Best Tennis Courts” by Tennis Industry Magazine and “Best of the Best Places to Play Tennis” by Sarasota Magazine, this is truly a fine addition to a well rated country club.
The fully staffed 3,590 square foot fitness center features a good selection of weight machines and cardio equipment. Personal trainers as well as a good offering of fitness equipment remove the need for a membership anywhere else. Everything you need is here.
Play Croquet? University Park Country Club offers one of the best croquet greenswards in the area. The club is a member of the United States Croquet Association and they host the annual Can-Am Croquet Tournament every February. Croquet instruction and introduction to this game is available every Friday afternoon from November 1st to May 1st.
University Park Country Club Membership Dues
Full Membership – $7,500 (currently reduced to a $5,000) initiation fee plus annual dues Full Members are entitled to year-round, unlimited use of the golf, tennis, fitness, croquet, dining and social facilities of the club.
Junior Executive Membership – $2,500 initiation fee plus annual dues. Junior Executive Members are entitled to year-round, unlimited use of the golf, tennis, fitness, croquet, dining and social facilities of the club. Members must be under 46 years of age.
Tennis Membership – $2,250 (currently reduced to a $1,375) initiation fee plus annual dues. Tennis Members are entitled to year-round, unlimited use of the tennis, fitness, croquet, dining, and social facilities of the club. Tennis Members may play a limited number of golf rounds at a discounted rate, as established from time to time by the Club.
Twilight Tennis Membership – $500 Initiation fee plus annual dues. Twilight Tennis Members are entitled to year-round use of the tennis facilities of the club after 2 p.m. and year-round, unlimited usage of the dining and social facilities of the club.
Sports Membership – $1,500 initiation fee plus annual dues. Sports Members are entitled to year-round, unlimited use of the fitness, croquet, dining, and social facilities of the club. Sports Members may play a limited number of golf rounds at a discounted rate, as established from time to time by the club.
Social Membership – The entire initiation fee has been temporarily waived, dues start from $250 per year. Social Members are entitled to year-round, unlimited use of the croquet, dining, and social facilities of the club. Social Members will be charged the open rate for golf play.
Corporate Membership – $10,000 initiation fee plus annual dues. Corporate Membership entitles the adult individuals designated by a corporation or other business entity approved by the club to year-round, unlimited use of the golf, tennis, fitness, croquet, dining and social facilities of the club. The number of individuals who may be so designated shall be established by the membership director and must be identified in the application for membership.
