TPC Prestancia Golf Club, Sarasota Florida
There’s multiplicity in the pulling power of Prestancia as a community developed to harness the benefits of an integration between a residential community and a golf course. For one, this golf club located in Sarasota, Florida, belongs to the US-wide network of public and private golf courses collectively known as TPC (Tournament Players Club). It is also a member of the much acclaimed Heritage Collection of Properties.
Moreover, the Prestancia golf community is part of Palmer Ranch, a prestigious 10,500 acre residential enclave strategically located between Sarasota and Osprey. TPC Prestancia Clubhouse
TPC Prestancia is perfectly attuned to the country club and resort lifestyle associated to luxurious communities in Florida. A 35,000-square-foot clubhouse provides a nucleus to the 565-acre golfing community. Rich sources of social amenities here include spacious dining rooms and areas for private meetings.
One favorite is Sandhill Grill, a lounge where large, flat-screen television sets lend a cozy, home-like setting. The banquet rooms, which have undergone a recent renovation, are likewise equipped with up-to-date facilities such as access to Wi-Fi Internet. In addition to full-service locker rooms, the clubhouse also has a pro shop with an inventory of the latest golf equipment and accessories.
More member privileges are accorded with Prestancia’s reciprocal agreement with the nearby Serendipity Tennis Club. This arrangement enables access to nineteen Har-Tru tennis courts, a fitness center, and a junior-Olympic-sized swimming pool.
TPC Prestancia Golf Courses
Two outstanding 18-hole golf courses—the Stadium and the Club—were masterfully built within the TPC Prestancia complex. The Stadium, fourth in the list of the TPC golf links cunstructed, is a championship course and plays at 6,927 yards. Two course architects, Ron Gard and Mike Souchak, pooled their talents to design this layout that is trademark for gentle play on their par 4s and 5s and more demanding rounds on the par 3s.
The Club Course is equally challenging with its 6,751-yard retinue of greens and fairways incorporating classic doglegs that puzzle even the most seasoned of golfers. This setup was a product of two other brilliant designers, Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, a PGA Tour standout who served as the design consultant. This was the original course previously part of the Country Club of Sarasota until 1985 when it was sold to TPC.
TPC Prestancia provides more than adequate facilities to practice all of the play situations involved in a golf round. It has a 93,000-square foot area devoted exclusively as a driving range, as well as for bunker play, chipping, and putting practice. With its fine golfing conditions plus these excellent support facilities, TPC Prestancia has been acclaimed in the prestigious Florida Golfer magazine as the number one private club in the Southwest Florida area.
The two courses of the golfing community are also jointly certified as an Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary. This comes as a recognition of the meticulous environmental efforts that went into the development of TPC Prestancia wherein the well-preserved woodlands and lush greeneries have become habitat to an immense collection of wildlife.
Prestancia club membership consists of six options, with fees ranging from $5,000 to $20,000. Maximum benefits can be achieved from an investment in an optional M2M (member to member) membership enabling extensive business networking opportunities.
Prestancia Real Estate
The residential real estate community of TPC Prestancia consists of fourteen neighborhoods.
