The Country Club is one of the seven Lakewood Ranch communities or villages masterfully planned in symphony with the natural surroundings of an 8,500-acre expanse in East Manatee County. It hosts both upscale residences for sale and a golf and country club that has helped bolster Florida’s lofty reputation as a golfer’s paradise.
Three private golf courses in all offering choices for a 54-hole of play serve as a string of crown jewels to the Lakewood Ranch Country Club. Two of these layouts were crafted by the masterful strokes of the Palmer Course Design Co. which ensured that their 36-hole masterpiece suits golfers of various abilities. As for the third layout, an akin mastery was employed, with its 18 holes born out of the architectural genius of Rick Robbins, designer of many outstanding golf courses all over the world.
Support facilities de rigueur to golfing havens complement the greens and fairways of the Country Club. Among these are a driving range, a putting green and an area for chipping practice. Count in too the club’s golf pro shop, locker rooms and cart storage.
The experience of country club lifestyle likewise comes to the fore at the other amenities at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club. In addition to its facilities ancillary to the sport of golf, the community’s 44,000-square foot clubhouse has a lounge, a formal dining room and a grille. Other services that can be availed of include banquet facilities and private dining rooms.
The Country Club also provides other venues for an active lifestyle outside of golf. It has a 14,000-square foot fitness center that provides a full range of modern exercise equipment, an aerobics room, treatment room, sauna and whirlpool. Furthermore, there is a junior-sized Olympic swimming pool and eighteen lighted tennis courts. And for the more laid-back of guests, there are men’s and ladies’ lounges, as well as card rooms.
Understandably, residents of Lakewood Ranch have preferential opportunities in club membership. Nonetheless, several membership package offerings are also available to non-residents. Certain privileges are accorded to each package with a Platinum Member enjoying the most out of the Country Club amenities. Equally desirable are Gold, Silver and Platinum memberships that at the very least provide access to clubhouse dining, social and aquatic facilities, as well as to golf facilities during the off-season.
Lakewood Ranch Country Club Membership Dues
The Club offers the following Membership levels with privileges as follows:
- Platinum Membership- Platinum Members are entitled to year-round use of all of the Club facilities. This includes golf, tennis, pools, fitness and dining facilities. A deposit of $38,000 is required, Initiation fee of $9585, Doc stamps of $133, monthly dues for a family are $573 or $6,876 if paid annually.
- Gold Membership- Gold Members are entitled to year-round use of all the Club facilities, with exception to the golf facilities. The golf course and practice facilities may be used in the off-season upon payment of applicable greens and cart fees. This membership level is designed for the tennis aficionado. A $3,000 deposit is required, Initiation fee of $3,195, doc stamps of $1050, monthly dues for a family are $290 or $3,480 if paid annually.
- Silver Membership- Silver Members are permitted year-round use of the clubhouse, fitness, aquatics, dining and social facilities. Use of the golf course and practice facilities is limited to off-season upon payment of greens and cart fees. This is membership level is for those seeking to use the fitness center and clubhouse facilities only. An Initiation fee of $3,727.50 is due at signing, monthly dues for a family are $210 or $2,520 if paid annually.
- Bronze Membership- Bronze Members are permitted year-round use of the clubhouse, aquatics, dining and social facilities. Use of the golf course and practice facilities is limited to off-season upon payment of applicable greens and cart fees. This is the social level membership and it requires a $3,195 initiation fee. Monthly dues are $105 or $1260 if paid annually.
